The GP2 is a GPS tracking system that relays the GPS coordinates to you via an alphanumeric pager you carry, (not included), or through the internet system to your email. The GP2 consists of a two-way flex pager, GPS receiver and control circuitry. It comes complete with GP2 tracker (magnets attached), GPS antenna, pager antenna, battery pack (magnets attached), and all necessary hardware needed to connect the unit to a vehicle for power source. The receiver will be an alphanumeric pager or your email service. When purchased we will ask you whether you want the coordinates sent to your email service or your pager. We will program the unit to deliver the messages to one of these mediums. The operation of the GP2 is as follows. The GP2 is attached to the vehicle and powered up by the battery pack (included) or to the 12-volts of the vehicle. The antennas are positioned on the vehicle so that the GPS antenna has an unobstructed view of the sky (can be placed under glass or plastic), and the pager antenna for best reception (will depend on location). To initiate the unit you will be given an 800 number and a pin number to call. When you call the service, it will ask for a 3-digit code. This code is just yours. After the call, the GP2 will be paged and within a few minutes it will relay the coordinates to you. The coordinates will be displayed as the longitude, latitude, time stamp, and in the case where more than one vehicle is being tracked an ID code. With the software we supply with the system, you can enter the coordinates into a computer. The location will be displayed on a detailed map in the center of the screen.  Paging the GP2 multiple times will give you an idea of direction of travel.
